Shailendra Jain, Secretary
Shailendra Jain recently retired in May-2020, as a Senior Director, leading Customer Analytics and Data Science team in Global Marketing at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He was responsible for leading rapid development and deployment of advanced analytics technologies (predictive analytics, AI, optimization) for advancing personalization, precision targeting, improving marketing efficiencies, enhancing customer experience. In recent past at HP Labs, Shailendra has led advanced analytics projects in several areas, including: IT support services growth through modeling of customer data, product portfolio optimization, tools for cross-sell/up-sell, demand modeling/pricing optimization, marketing campaign optimization, incentive compatible channel policy design, and others.
In 2009, Shailendra led a team, which was responsible for product portfolio management technology development and deployment, which resulted in HP winning the INFORMS Edelman Award. In 2012, this team also won the INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Section Practice Award for outstanding applications of revenue management and pricing methodologies. Shailendra represented HP on INFORMS Roundtable. Most recently, Shailendra has served on the Judging Panel for awarding INFORMS Edelman Prize during 2020 and 2021. Shailendra holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research from UCLA, master’s in industrial engineering from IIT, Delhi and bachelor’s in Mech Engineering from Indore University, India.
Shailendra is delighted to have an opportunity to contribute as a board member of Cupertino Library Foundation. He is looking forward to working with other board members and contribute to several needed areas of public service, including services for seniors and education.
