About the Event
This series of classes, led by Sunil Nethisinghe and Nilushka Melnick, begins with a 90 minute stand-alone lecture.  It will be followed by 5 weeks of hourly sessions on Saturday mornings  between June 11 and July 9th. Over all, the series will introduce  concepts that help you recognize conflicts arising in relationships and  teach you about the tools and practices necessary to manage those  conflicts. Self-centered behavior on the part of relatives and romantic partners is  a common source of relationship strain. The practice of compassion  diminishes the self-centered view and promotes lasting happiness,  Participants will learn how to make relationships more harmonious and  avoid  the pitfalls of self-centered behavior. Participants in the  course will be encouraged to identify a strained relationship in their  life to practice applying the tools and techniques they learn and  monitor progress.
