Individual Board Roles

​

Individual Board terms last for three years and Board members can serve for up to two consecutive terms. Board members are expected to:

​

• Attend 12 board meetings per year

• Read board materials in advance of board meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions

• Serve on one or more committees of the board and to actively participate in committee work

• Play an active role in securing the financial resources necessary for the Cupertino Library Foundation to achieve its mission

• Leverage personal relationships and connections to help the Foundation identify and solicit potential funders

• Responsibly represent the Foundation to their respective communities

• Advocate for the Foundation’s mission, programs, and services as appropriate.
