About the Event
Join us for an informational presentation comparing Natural Grass and Artificial Turf by an Advocate from the Sierra Club Environmental Stewardship Program. Those who follow sports might have heard professional athletes and others debate over whether grass or turf is safer. Arguments have been made over how one might save water, make for a better playing experience, can be used for activities regardless of weather, and be better for the environment. Similar reasoning regarding landscaping projects has been made, especially for heat and water usage. Come learn about the health risks and environmental impacts of artificial turf and turf alternatives.
