Artist Sujata Khanolkar (age 68) on display at the Cupertino Library
Artist Bio:
Sujata earned a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from the premier Sir JJ School of Art in Mumbai, India. Subsequently, she worked for close to a decade as a textile designer at a prominent Mumbai textile company, as an interior designer and as a designer at the Air India arts department. Following this, she was a stay-at-home mom raising her son and daughter.
Nature has always fascinated her so it was natural that when she picked up her brush after a long hiatus she turned to scenes from nature as her inspiration for painting. She loves painting trees, flowers, and clouds in their fascinating shapes and colors, and has experimented with oil colors, acrylic, pastels and colored inks.
